Wilderness Foundation

The Wilderness Foundation has been a pioneer in using wilderness and wild lands as a positive force for social change in South Africa. It was founded by Dr. Ian Player and is now under the leadership of Andrew Muir. Disadvantaged youth, as well as political and community leaders, are taken on trails and courses to experience wild nature, often for the very first time. More than 40,000 participants have been through its programmes.
