PELUM Kenya

Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Association is a network of Civil Society Organizations / NGOs working with small-scale farmers in East, central and Southern Africa. The Association now has over 230 members and operates in 10 countries.

PELUM is a regional network facilitating learning, networking, advocacy and lobbying. Its vision is for communities to be self-organised to make choices towards an improved quality of life that is socially, economically and ecologically sustainable. The Association is passionate about equity, people- driven development and integrity of creation, and strives for sustainable local community empowerment as well as food security and prosperity.

Builds the capacity of members and partners to respond appropriately to community needs as they work to empower the communities they work with.

PELUM Kenya is based in Thika, Kenya and has 38 member organizations. It has programmes in Research and Information Management, Capacity Enhancement, Management and Development and Campaign Advocacy and Lobbying.
